Yes I did it again. Spent Sat. night at the Bundaberg hospital. My heart decided to throw another wobbly. Heart rate went up to 190 beats a minute. Too high & as heart requires a bigger blood supply to keep up that rate & doesn't get it the response is strong chest pain. Rang 000. Luckily on Sun. enzyme level (shows on blood test) went down & so they let me go home. Today visit with oncologist & I have to get my portacath flushed. So my social life is still revolving around medical facilities. Alice

Oh, Alice - whatever next!!!! My heart rate apparently went up over the 200's when I was wearing the monitor - and that was when I was sleeping!!!! I felt absolutely nothing, if we hadn't been taken blood pressures with our own machine, would not have known I had a problem. No pain, no shortness of breath, nothing! The specialist scared the daylights out of me when I first saw her - she thought I was going to have a heart attack if I did anything - but, apparently my preventative medication of Cholesterol lowering meds and a half aspirin did a good job, I had plaque, but no outcrops which could have blocked the artery. So, prevention is a life saver.
Now on five pills a day (incl. cholesterol, aspirin, bloodpressure, and happy pills).
Take it easy Alice - thinking of you. When do you move into Booroo??????? can't remember how to spell it!!!!!
Love to you both, from us!

This may not be applicable to you, but I refer you to my post of 26 Nov 2015 about Atrial Fibrilation. I had an ablation done (in Adelaide) and since then I had one very minor event about 2 weeks after (I am not even sure if it was AF), but certainly nothing since then. The procedure was scary - yes - but once I had decided to have it, I was relaxed about it. 24 hours later I walked out of the hospital a new man. Hope your problems settle soon....
