Have just posted the following in Travelling with Pets.
Our loved female Corgi passed away on 5th November.
She was a gentle, friendly, wise and peaceful dog, who I am sure could tell time.
A seasoned traveller she (and we) enjoyed many travels together.
She is being and will continue to be missed.

Hi Peter and Judy. Really sorry to hear you lost one of your family.
We have 3 dogs of our own and they really do run the household - sleeping on beds and sofas (have to cover them to stop the leather getting damaged), feed meat meant for humans, and lots of love and exercise. One is a German Shephard coming up 10 years soon - the usual life span for this breed. She suffers a little from arthritis, but the recent acquisition of a border collie pup and his 3 year old father (he was a rescue dog) has invigorated her and she spends many hours play fighting with the pup especially.
We still carry around the urns of 2 previous Shephards who died several years + ago and their ashes are scattered around various places when we travel (especially the bush, beach and sea they both enjoyed).
As a true dog lover - my condolences to you both. It is heart wrenching when you loose a good mate and family member

Sorry to hear Peter and Judy. Amazing how attached you can get to them isn't it. I can still remember pets I had 60 years ago with fondness and regret even after all this time. But life as they say goes on and they really do live on in our memories so in one sense they haven't gone

Hello Peter and Judy, we feel much for your loss and can only imagine your grief at this time. We to travel with two little dogs that are so much of our lives and we know that we are going to be in that same place down the line. Trust that you have a few photos that can help with the process and will of course pray for your loss at this time.

Hi Peter & Judy,
We know and we care,
We have our baby dog 13.5 years full Jack Russle named Misty. Eats better then us. Lives life better then us. Has all of us around her due claws. Costs us a zillon dollars. But wouldn't have it any other way.
Time will heal some. Never stop here. They are mans best friend. When the time is right, go and get another. Sooner then later.
Our baby dog spends lots of time with our daughters patients in aged care. We have builtin baby sitters at the home.
They get so upset when she herself gets restpite at home with us.

Sorry to hear about your loss. We know exactly how you are feeling having lost our beloved Molly back in April. You will always have the wonderful memories she has given you.

Thanks to you all for your comments and thoughts.
A nice touch arrived yesterday, our local vet who had looked after Misty for the past 11 years sent us a small bouquet of flowers.
Just shows that they care and also are very caring................
