Any grandkid friendly caravan parks for school holiday period?

You know the caravan parks we try to stay away from? The ones with the kids playground, the pool, maybe near the beach as well.
Any ideas of any above mentioned parks in Victoria or close to SA or NSW border Please?
We would like to spend sometime with the family over the January school holiday but haven't got a clue where to go. Any ideas appreciated please?
Daughter and kids are used to free camping but would like a different experience of the pool etc and the jackpot would also be near sand.

Any big chain park around the coast line should be what you ask for, Dianne. You might even enjoy the jumping castle and climbing spider yourself :)

I would start ringing around right now as the December/January season is generally booked out months ahead.
We have stayed at Merimbula and Eden on the south coast of NSW and Batemans Bay - all three have been good with all facilities. The NRMA at Merimbula even has a heated swimming pool for cool days.

Thanks Murray, I went on line and looked at a couple. Can't believe they are $150 per night for a powered site.

I think Philw has his tongue in cheek re his comment!
I also think that $150 a night does seem a little high. I would expect that price to be for a cabin and not a powered site.
One holiday season I stayed in a motel at Wollongong while my brother stayed at the Corrimal caravan park at the same time. When we compared notes the two charges were exactly the same! I suppose being right on the beach accounted for the high charges.
Hope you find a suitable place.

$150 per night. Must be something wrong with the site I reckon. Probably way down the back behind the workshop.

I've only sussed Victoria so far. Powered site two adults 2 kids January $150 per night Queenscliff and $96 per night same criteria Bellarine and Portarlington.
How on earth could families do that??

Cania has a good kids area.
AND (last time I was there)
a free "drive in" ext screen with movies on a thurs? night.
Great walks and good fishing.
Sand is nothing but irritating.
and good training in the soft for runs.
we live at the beach (Yeppoon) Last time I was on beach
would be 8yrs ago launching the Outriggers.
Actually ON a beach to use as a beach. 25/30yrs, maybe.
Probably more. I was born on the coast.
Am sitting here looking at slight waves rolling up it now
Absolutely NO inclination to go down there.

I've ended up booking Lakes Entrance recreation reserve. It's not flash but will have showers and toilets for daughter with camper trailer and got two sites side by side right on the water. So kids will have sand, swimming, fishing, cricket, footy, nanny and Pa.
3 mins walk to shops and all the usual stuff shops, parks, boat hire, movies etc. so we are sorted.
$50 per night school holiday rate, power and water with water frontage. Happy with that
