Apex Riverbeach Holiday Park owner Daryl Beasy said the expected flood would be his first in 12 years of owning the park.
"We've been told that by November 5, we will be one metre under water, so we're busily packing up to move everything out at the moment," he said.
"We've got two 40-foot shipping containers full at the moment, and we've probably got another 20-foot container of stuff to go from the office.
"Then all the cabins and on-site caravans have to go, so there will be lots of work next week."
Mr Beasy said if the park's reception and kiosk building reached one metre under water, some areas of the park would be about three metres under water.
"It's the unknown factor of how long it will be flooded. Nobody can really tell us it could be two weeks, it could be two months,"
Mr Beasy said he had cancelled bookings at the holiday park up until the first week in December.
"We'll have to wait and see how much water comes down and how long it will last to see when we can get back in and get operating again," he said.
Mr Beasy said there had not been a beach at Apex Beach for a couple of months.
"It's been rising slowly for a couple of months but it's been rising a bit quicker in the last week or so," he said.

OK thanks Jim, sure has been a wet one. There is currently a "blackwater" going along the Murray too, lots of fish kills. A bit sad for the fish. Good for the redgums though.

Stayed at this caravan park many times, few minutes out of town many spots available for large caravans or motor homes.
Very friendly staff, i would not hesitate to recommend this place to stay.

This could be the same scenario every year if the " Environmental Floods" via Murray darling Basin Commission get the go ahead. We have already had it in Albury, Corowa yarrawonga Cobram. Not sure how to protest, but worth considering

Not sure if it was "environmental floods" this year. We live near the Murray River, Corowa and Albury. The water released from the Hume Weir was as a result of the dam being too full. Normally a release is made at around 87% when heavy rain is forecast, but for some reason, this did not happen. The dam filled to 97% capacity and was continuing to have a substantial inflow from the catchment area. The authorities began releasing water at a slow rate of 5 gates open. Then, as more inflow occurred, the number of gates open was increased as slowly as possible to 12 gates. Unfortunately, substantial flooding occurred from Albury/Wodonga all the way along the Murray. The flooding must now be getting close to Mildura. All this info can be found if googled.
