Hello All
Let me introduce my self and family.
I am Allen, My wife Niny from Indonesia and 2.5 year old Daughter Almira, We are from Adelaide
We have made the big leap to do the big lap ( 6 weeks ago )
Nissan D40 purchased 4 weeks ago, UHF, electric brakes installed, in-dependent inspections and full services,
23 ft Compass van purchased 4 weeks ago BUT still to pick up from wangaratta vic, independent inspection done, complete new axles, brakes, rims, tyres, ( peace of mined )
But yet to see the van.
With only 2 weeks to go we have sold most Furniture from house ( sleeping on mattress ) its a bit like camping in own house,
We will travel to Wangeratta Vic on weekend of 8th oct to pickup van ( then future begins) will have to return to Adelaide within 2 weeks to have van inspected for SA rego, so will class that trip as our shake down trip,
Hopefully if all is well on returning to Adelaide we should be on the road within a week, then on our 2.5 year adventure around, through, across,up, down, in out, of our great land.
At this stage our plans our west coast SA until after new years then head to bottom of WA, ohhh Nullabor in January Hot Hot, will sit around Streaky bay, Ceduna and wait for a cool change to do big move to Fowlers Bay, Properly still be there Easter time,
We are going to try to free camp as much as possible, van has solar, 2 water tanks
Welcome to the forum, that's a big jump, not having the van at home. Wishing you all the best.

Thank you all for your comments.

I think NOT having van at home is a good thing, as would be to easy to just put all that stuff we DO NOT need in van from house,
