What a great spot is this camp site in the Coopernock State Forest just 4 klms of the motorway ( Pacific Hway) just 26 klms north of Taree. State forests should not be confused with National parks.
Huge trees as far as the eye can see except for this 400 square meter clearance called Coopernock State Forest Camp.
Also there is a free camp at the Coopernock Hotel in the small hamlet of Coopernook.
We were only going to spend a couple of days at this State Forest Camp but stayed a week. About 4 k's of dirt road ( note road) not a bush track.
Would like to take this spot with us where ever we go.
No power or water ( to speak of) Clean drop toilet.
Put it on your bucket list, You won't be sorry.
