Oh dear looks expensive. A bit of trivia here, I did the engineering to get the first one of these flying in Australia. The pilot John McDowel did the flight tests, I did all the airworthiness testing. Back then they had a Pratt & Whiney r1340 radial motor. This ones got a PT6 turbine.

John McDowel used to spread super on our Mt Emu west of Ballarat back in the 60s.

Yes Ian, as a kid I went flying with Hirsch spreading!! His son a very talented musician. I have been flying since I was 12 years old in 1961. In those days it was a gyroglider towed behind the family car.
Good read, I never had anything to do with Gyro-copters, but used to service Bell 47's, the choppers used in MASH. Did a lot of work on Victors as well. Pawnee's, Beavers, FU24 Fletchers, DC 3's and lode-stars.
A pilot has been injured in a crash involving a crop-dusting plane in Western Australia's south-east.
The crash occurred around 10:00am on a property 105 kilometres north of Esperance.
The pilot, a 29-year-old man from Victoria, was able to exit the plane after suffering non-life threatening injuries.
The incident comes just five days after a light plane crash near the Great Southern town of Mount Barker.
Both people aboard that plane survived the crash.
