Hi all. We have a Crusader 20ft Inspiration van year 2011. Has anyone added a grey water tank to the underneath of the van successfully. We are wanting to be fully self contained to be able to go into National Parks, so we need to take this next step.

Hi.
Several ways, from 6 in sewer piping up.
I used a 60ltr plastic watertank.
Mounted under chassis behind suspension.
SInk drain to Y Piece under sink.
. with tap on both legs.
One out, one to tank.SImple and easy.
Tank has small outlet cap for draining as you drive along
(Smack. Smack)
Or full size with coupling to hose for discharge points.

Have a Coromal Element and added a 90lt tank behind existing tank. Put a stop valve on the grey water tank inlet which I plumbed into the existing drain pipe and added another stop valve at the end. So to use the GWT, I close off the drain pipe at the outlet and open up the GWT stop valve. The GWT has an air pipe on top to allow tank to fill, Also to stop unpleasant odors inserted one way valves in the Sink and Ensuite basin drain pipes - already one in the shower pipe. To drain attach normal hose and just open the Stop Valve at the end of the drain pipe. I don't leave the GWT stop valve open unless we are using the GWT.
The theory is (other than the weight of the tank) I won't be adding to the overall weight of the packed van.
Had to use it for the first time last week at York Free campsite! National Parks in WA haven't introduced their GWT requirement yet.

I will bet a few bikers would like to get their hands on you if you drain your tanks on the road ! bit of drizzle an you could be creating a skid pan with soap ect residue on the road glad everyone doesn't do it

I'm an old biker from wayy back.
was in old farts club when they under 2000 members
Back in early '90's..
Could join at 50 yrs in those days.
The few times I have has been on dirt rd's up North.
Plus we not meat eaters. so no grease and hate Washup liquid.
Only hot water and tea leaves mainly.

I have the same van rear entry and fitted one 6 months ago. I'm only reasonably handy but had no problems. my van is in storage and I don't have any photos but I am using it in about 4 weeks so if you are in no hurry perhaps you can prompt me then and I will take some photos and hopefully explain in understandable terms what I did.

Check out plastic fuel tanks at wreckers ? Come with supporting straps .. 60+ litres .. Cheap and very tuff ..

No It shouldn't make any difference. My two water tanks are in front of the axles which leaves space in between them and behind the rear one which is where I put mine.

Type in " grey water tanks" in search and you will get some more info. I posted my grey water tank installation on it. It works well with about 30 liters cap.
