Good one Dicko - as you can see, much easier to find in this sub forum - enjoy - I see you went to Greens as well - it is extremely slippery when wet there - had a few wheel spinners when we have been there. Some weren't even vehicles - they were humans (me included _ flat on my derrier!)

Yeah, I like Aysons too.
More fish ( yellow belly ), and less wind than Greens.

Chock a block on Melbourne Cup weekend as was Greens Lake, both nice places to stay at in the quieter times though.

Stayed again at the lovely Ayson's reserve last night. It's always been a great spot. Totally spoiled this time by a couple in a van (with a wonderful spot on the river bank) who ran their extra noisy generator until 11.30 p.m. to watch the football. I did speak to the woman in the morning about consideration for others - and retreated, followed by angry invective. Hopefully others will educate them better than I apparently did, as to the etiquette of generators. Or is there these days no such etiquette, and as I was told, we are the selfish ones, it's a public place and we should leave?
Situated on the Campaspe River about 15 km from Elmore and about 20 km from Greens Lake and 5 km from Elmore Field Days site.
A lovely extensive grassed and FLAT area beside the river. Toilet block and Dump Point.
Tracks are well formed and gravel surface...no mud. Popular today with about 15 to 20 vans and RV's.
Everyone is spread out with no neighbours next door.
A very viable alternative to Greens Lake with short drive to Elmore to stock up with goodies. Or throw a line in and catch your dinner.
All here, bush, open, serene & tranquil, toilets and dump point. Also has boat ramp.
Some photos taken today.
Thanks for that, I hope to be in that area next year
