Wheres a great place to put a Motorhome up in Longreach for a week or so, that we can get transport to most of things there

We stayed at the Longreach Tourist Park. Over 100 caravan sites with power and water. walking distance to Longreach Hall of Fame and the Qantas Museum. Not as muddy as some of the out of town "free camps"
But that is this week.

My suggestion is the Apex bush camp about 4 klms to the west of this great outback town.

It's a long walk from the Apex camp into town

Thanks, yes with a Motorhome, so if we can walk to most things or at least catch a bus that would be great...

If you cycle, Longreach is pretty flat, with a bikeway right up to the Hall of fame and the Qantas museum

Many thanks, we walked into town from the Park.
We were chatting with a neighbour at the park, and he advised that its cheaper to get a 3 event pass at the Railway Station, which we did.
