I'm sure someone has a solution for cleaning mud stains off the front of my van - off the Aluminium checker plate. I've tried numerous suggestions on a small section like WD-40,gumption, kero , metho with no luck. I've read to stay away from acid type cleaners so has anyone a tried and proven solution. Appreciate your help thanks Ron

Hello Ronzo.
I use Autosol Aluminium Polish for all my aluminium bits, including my mags.
For the checker plate I use my 9 inch buffer with a soft wool mop head on slow. Leave to dry for a couple of hours, then buff on moderate speed with a clean wool buff.
Once done you won't need a mirror to see you reflection.
Acts like a polish as well; next trip, the bugs will simply wash off.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
Hetho.

Try a product called PURPLE. Shines up the Ally tanks on the trucks ok.

Another vote for Purple, but bear in mind for badly soiled areas, it's a 2 stage job, you need the purple green stuff (can't remember the actual name, but you apply first) then the purple polish itself.
