Heading off again this week for almost 3 weeks. Not sure where exactly - don't care. Probably north of Adelaide, Flinders Ranges perhaps? This week I fitted an inlet silencer for the Diesel heater. Not that it was really noisy but should be quieter now for any neighbours that want to park too close. I put the exhaust muffler on at the same time as installing the heater so I didn't get to hear the difference that made. Also changed the cable that goes from the tugs front battery to rear anderson plug to something aproaching railway tracks. Should keep the fridge happy on route.
A bit of sunshine and a bit of veg'n out should make for a few great weeks.
Hope you're all having fun too.
Cheers, John.

Half your luck John, enjoy mate!
I'm stuck in Adelaide, out of here mid Sept, but like you not sure where yet.
Alice Springs/Arltunga/Ruby Gap? or maybe Dunmarra/Top Springs/Kununurra? Depends on funds I guess!
Time will tell! :D

Gday John, hope you have a great trip. we will be heading to the Flinders soon also. It is a great time to be visiting. Post a few pics. I must admit I am envious of your diesel heater, I might have to invest in one.Do you know anyone who installs them in Adelaide?
cheers Steve

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Always raring to go, starts about two minutes after the end of each trip.
Steve, I asked the Adelaide Caravan Doctor in St Marys how much he would charge to install a Diesel heater in a van, His answer was, "anywhere from $2500.00 to $3500.00 upward depending on how much work he has to do."
Man, you can only laugh. I decided then and there to do it myself. I had some help from folk here, answering a few questions. It really is not hard if you can operate a screwdriver. A great project over a few days. If not, any caravan repair business should be able to do it for you.
It is the single best purchase I have ever made for a caravan. Cosy warm, anywhere, anytime at the touch of a button.
Cheers, John.

glad to see another nomad that doesn't overplan and just goes in "that" direction - that's what nomading is all about. No overplanning or rushing to get there - just go with the flow.
Enjoy yourselves John

Bruce, I looked at the map this evening but it was all to hard. I think I will just get in the tug and drive, as usual. Much easier.
Went for a drive a while back. Started at Adelaide and ended up at Coober Pedy for a week, before I turned around. Interesting place.
Went out for some milk last month and spent a few weeks around SA's mid north area.
Cheers, John.

Be like us mate.
Last 40 + yrs, we get to end of street.
Toss a coin and go left or right accordingly.
We never had a bad trip yet. (with caravan.)
Last O/S trip was different.
Waste of 2 1\2 months. Went wrong from first plane onwards.

G'day Macca, we do exactly the same, when we come out of our village we say to eachother, left or right ?, and we allways have a good time.
Greetings, Eddie.
