Tomorrow will be off to Brisbane for my final chemo. Will be a full day leaving here at 8am as appointment is at 12.20.
Will be a big Hurrah when that has finished.
Saw the cancer coordinator in Hervey Bay today for my radiation, will see the doctor on Friday for the plan including a scan so they can tattoo dots?? of where they have to go with the radiation which will start around end of Sept I'm thinking. Will know more on Friday.
That will give me time to get to Sapphire and recover at the same time.
And yes!! My hair should start growing back real soon. That's what I'm looking forward to the most.

So glad that this is your last treatment Marj - hope you are feeling better this week. Now to recover before the radiation (I must say that is a word that scares me - lady I know had all sorts of trouble) - but fingers crossed it all works for you. Have they told you the progress of the Abdominal Snowman yet?
You will be happy when your hair grows back, daughters friends hair came back completely different colour, and quite thick, whereas she had blondy mousy, very thin hair previous - so you might have to rethink your styling.
Take care, drive carefully. From both of us!

The Adominal Snowman is virtually gone. Only the remnants left. The radiation will zap the inside to kill it off and make sure it can't come back.

All the best for tomorrow Marj. Also as said above, when my mum's hair grew back it was a completely different colour too. Make sure you wear one of your hats when out in the sun. Take care.

Know how you must be feeling happy wanderer, after 2 months in hospital 3 operations ( 1 emergency ) followed by 7 months chemo, my last ( in theory ) boost juice day is Monday. I am so looking forward to not having my life dictated to by medical appointments. last 9 months have been a bit intense at times.

Good luck for Monday Bass - you have had a real bad trot. Hope this is the end of it all, and you can enjoy life again!
I haven't been on posting as having the worst days ever.
Hoping by tomorrow I will be more myself and have got over these hiccups.
Just the usual after the chemo but maybe because of the build up being number 8, it's hitting me a bit harder than normal. Will be taking it easy again today as have scans Thursday and Friday to attend to.
Still waiting to find out when I'm having the radiation planning scan, hopefully Monday or Tuesday I can hit the road by Wednesday at the latest .

Hope you feel better soon Marj. Chemo is hitting me a bit harder too. Very red sore eyes, & the fatigue is intense. Think they've filled my arms & legs with cement. Regards Alice

Feeling for you Alice. Knowing what I'm going through this week and it's my last week of chemo, you've got a lot further to go yet.
Thinking of you.
