Simple.
Two Treadlies ON carrier. and Tinnie on trailer.
One keeps you fit. T'other feeds you.
So Simple it's frightening.....
Just check on your driving licence first.

We flat tow a Suzuki swift with a hitch and go a frame easy to hook up and unhook you don't know it's there unless you check with the rear camera no trailer to worry about parking

Find out the law in the state where you are registered regarding the weight you can legally flat tow. Reputable companies like Hitch n Go or the Ready Brute importer can provide good advice.
There are a lot of rigs out there towing illegally!

If you are in WA you must have the ratio of 3.5 : 1 as first step. You will need a car less than 2.28t to be legal with an A frame to register in WA. This has only started to be enforcing as a vehicle modification 18 months ago. Maximum weight to A frame is 2000kg regardless of towing capacity of motorhome. I have been A framing since 2007 with a hitch n go. Cost $900 last year to have motor home, car, A frame design, A frame welding quality and instalation compliance inspected as a unit to be legal again. Yes that is 5 approvals plus the compliance plate on A frame. The interesting thing is being as one unit I asked what if a drive the car or motor home seperately and was advised to get reinspected to be un-modified before driving. Not that practical. Insurance company is not concerned. See attached WA info
The official reason for the change in law is it is much more dangerous A framing than with a car on a trailer. I have done both and I know what is much more stable and it is not the trailer. Then again I am not an expert with the qualifications to make such determination.
I am told by WA official documents that it Australian standards that are being enforced. Don't know if any other states are the same.
good luck with all that, but do your own research. To me A framing is best way to go.

Thanks Woolman sounds like good info, although with $900 just for approvals it could be an expensive process.
We will need to register in VIC.
Thanks to the others please keep the suggestions coming
Does anyone have a car and frame for sale?

Paul, look on the CMCA market place, can go on even if not a member. I think k there was one on there the other day. As you know we have a gypsy trailer, and our car weighs 800kg. Good luck.

My Coaster and Terios are registered in Vic. The rig fits within the 3:5 ratio mentioned above.
To get the bus registered in my name after buying it (in Vic), had to get a roadworthy, then submit the change of owner registration forms.
I bought the Terios from interstate and had to get a roadworthy for that. Can't remember if I had to take it to Vic Roads or if that was done by mail.
The Ready Brute hitch and flat towing stuff was fitted by the person at Ringwood who is their agent. It has engineering certification etc - but did not need to do anything in terms of registration.
I think Vic may be one of the best states in which to register RV's.

Did you read through Poppy's posts?
He stated that he would need to register his vehicle in Vic and seemed concerned about the procedures and cost outlined by a WA poster.
I was trying to clarify what situation he would face in Vic. - not ramble on for the sake of it.
Some people on here try to offer positive assistance!
