Police searching for a 70-year-old woman missing from her caravan near Manjimup in Western Australia have discovered a body, near where her husband was found wandering in bushland.
The search began after the man, 72, was found by members of the public in a distressed state on Saturday afternoon, about five kilometres from the pair's caravan site.
The woman's body was also located about five kilometres from the caravan, not far from where her husband was found.
Police said the woman had "medical issues".
"Inquiries will continue into the circumstances surrounding her death," a police spokeswoman said.
The couple are from interstate and their family members have been advised.

How sad for the family of these poor people. They have my condolences. I sincerely hope they weren't members of our forum, that would be doubly sad.

The way I read the article, the lady died from a medical issue well away from their caravan accompanied by her husband who must have felt totally helpless and alone in the middle of nowhere.
I can just imagine how terrible such a happening could be......I don't think you could ever get back to 'normality' after that loss. Same ages as Joy and I too. Have to savour every moment we have together.
Good Luck.

Yes, A very sad story indeed, I am a bit surprised that they were so far from their Caravan, maybe they were just out walking and got a bit too far away when the woman required Medical attention, or possibly, she had left her medicines in the Caravan,
If anyone knows what the area around Manjimup, they will realise that it is a very steep and hilly part of the South West, with a lot of bush right to the roads edge.
A terrible thing to happen to anyone, especially an elderly couple who have probably been planning this holiday for a long time.
May she rest in peace
