Being a tight a..., I did not want to buy a crimper for swages for stainless cable. I found that two 2" nails and a vice did the job perfectly. Just put a nail either side of the swage and close the vice. The vice has the pressure required to make a good crimp. A torque amplifier (length of pipe) helps.
This method was used to make security cables for my generator etc.
