We are hoping to get some help, we have just about finished installing a Planar Diesel Heater bought off Ebay but unfortunately can not find any information about priming the pump.

Also we keep get an Error Code indicating there is low voltage but it appears the batteries have charge.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I primed mine by taking out the fuse and then replacing it,this resets the unit.Then restart it again,you might have to do this a few times.

Hi col,

I did mine myself. You have four buttons. Two large, left and right. Two small buttons.

mine did not fire first go.

The left button is to turn it on and off. The right button turns the glow plug on an off.

The up and down buttons are to raise and lower the temp only.

To start push the left button once you will see a number from P2 to P9 . P2 being the lowest temp, P9 the hotties.

Now press the right button at the bottom once, you will see a little Red flame sign come on.

It can take 45 to 60 seconds to pump up. You will hear the pump going tick, tick, tick. This is the fuel pump picking up the diesel. As the fuel enter the burning chamber the fan will start to run faster for a while. 

I would set it to P9 to test it out. It won't take long before you click it down to P2.

To turn it off, click off the right button on the bottom of the burner Butto Then click the left button which will now turn off the power.

 The power button will change to.   00:00 and will continue to run for a minute or so, till the fuel is burnt off and will shut down.

They are magic and would not leave home without one. Getting dress in front of one in winter will change you forever.

Yes used the harness supplies now starting to think there is a problem with the heater.

Tried what you suggested it runs for 10 seconds then shuts down with the error code E08 - low voltage. Very frustrating.

Contacted where I bought it from Ebay, hope to hear from them early this week.

I have seen some discussion about e bay diesel heaters where they are 24 volt not 12 volt

do you know what you have

It is supposed to be 12 volt but now I am wondering if they have supplied 24 volt.

We have had 3 auto electricians give us advice, they say the heater is defective and could be running at 24 volt instead of 12 volt.  We are now trying to return it through eBay beware of Thinkout who are the suppliers, they were not willing to pay for return postage, had to put in complaint through Ebay. Now it is a waiting game.
