My lovely wife tells me I am a sleep 2 seconds after my head hits the pillow.
So speed of darkness is 2 seconds, a bit slower then speed of light.

There is no speed of darkness.
Darkness is always there. Light sometimes takes over but darkness is still there for when light disappears.

Light bulbs don't emit light, they suck in the darkness and return it to the power station where it is burnt and that is what you see coming out of the stacks. Incinerated darkness.
