We insured with Coles seen it advertised while shopping , a massive discount on what we paid last time, and reading through all the specs same deal as my usual insurer ,there probably offering huge discounts to build there business.
and iff it's not as good next year they won't have ours....

Hi John, I've been with QBE for the last few years, found them the cheapest and the best. I have a few extras on the cruiser (duel spare wheel carrier, drawer system in rear, roof rack, bull bar) ect. Some wouldn't cover the extras. QBE did, at a good price, maybe give them a call.
Cheers Owen.

Was with Western QBE for around 35 yrs.
Now with RACQ.
Cheaper. VERY good on any claim car and Cyclone.
and 50 yr Gold membership.
Plenty of perks.
Go for the one that gives good claims. NOT initial costs.
QBE were very good too. 3 claims in 35yrs.
Instant payout to persons involved My choice of fixers and suppliers.
Recommend either.

SGIO in WA. They are "oresome".
2 x houses, 3x cars, 1 x trailer, 1 caravan and 1 boat.
Tried the rest; SGIO are the best.
Regards.

just watch the exclusions. Every Insurer should have an on-line PDF (product disclosure form) which by law is required to be in simple, plain English.
After getting a few prices, then go on-line to the URL (web address) they provide and have a good comparison of the offers and exclusions.
I use SGIO because they provide a great service, few exclusions - but theyre not the cheapest. I always worry that the budget companies will take short cuts with repair work or muck you around with a claim

Yea bricckies.
But as I said. They gave better price combiner.
2 cars . 2 boats. caravan, house 20 odd grand fishing gear.
Also. They must be on a good one
After Marcia. I claimed a Loose Gutter upstairs.
Assessor came round and went away with $8 1\2 grands worth I hadn't even seen.
All fixed within 3 weeks
done and dusted.
They'll do me thank you.
QBE put their premiums up a lot up here around 8/9 yrs ago
for no apparent reason.
Something to do with those Vict/NSW fires I believe.
As long as YOU happy with yours, it's fine.
But I check around, normally every 2 or 3 yrs for changes.
and check on net for reputations on payouts, problems.

AAMI for me, and they do honour their lifetime guarantee even with subsequent owner. Product Review will also give you the worst ones at paying out. cheers Craig

We thought we would be smart a while back when I bought a car for the Missis,
We shopped around and seeing Coles advertising their insurance with what looked like a good deal "WRONG "
After taking out their policy, I started to hear things like, they were very slow to answer their Claims phone, in some cases people had to keep ringing them to get anything started on a claim.
Well after about nine months into our insurance cover with Coles, I sold the car and then notified them that I no longer required the Insurance cover, Instead of receiving a cheque back for the balance of the fees charged, I got a short note saying....
"We don't give refunds on cancellations" So BUYER BEWARE, the Robbing mongrels !!!
