I need some advice on washing rubber backed caravan curtains. Does anyone have suggestions whether you can and temperature etc.
I am mainly concerned about shrinking them or destroying the rubber backing......eeek! Then I just may be banned from entering our van ever again.
cheers

I wash mine when we get home after each trip (5-6 months each year). I machine wash in cold water using my normal detergent, then hang on the line to dry. Don't bother ironing. Brenda

Used to do mine in machine at home, gentle cycle, wool wash, line dry. NEVER tried to iron them - reckon that might melt the backing. They were still lasting ok at 15 years old when we sold the van.

I throw mine in the machine.
When you hang them on line. Hang them with the rubber backing on the outside.
Otherwise the lining may stick together. (I learned this the hard way).

Put ours in t h e machine on handwash setting. Perfect. Good quality 9 year old Jayco curtains. Living in Cairns the climate is very harsh.
Just did them again last week.
