Welcome to the Forum. Hopefully you will enjoy your experience and source valuable insights into the world of caravanning and the Grey Nomad Life style.
While I have not been to this location, I have spoken with people who have camped there. Paradise Dam Camp Area 35 klm NE of Biggenden within 3 hours North of Brisbane. Unfortunately it is not free, but is listed in Camps book 8 being 130 with a tick.
Hope this helps.

Phil hi, and welcome. Wuruma would be pretty good there is a variety of road conditions & a great spot ( could be a bit busy at the moment though.) Just past Eidsvold.

If you want a free camp - give Awoonga a miss and head to Boyndale Bush Camp, the other side of the lake, via Calliope. Wuruma is good - especially if you like redclaw!

We have stayed at Yarramalong Weir freedom camp a few times, flushing toilets, no power or water. Plenty of room. Just for relaxing, nothing to do there. About 170k west of Brisbane
