I Have a 2006 Jayco Sterling which I bought last Year. Last time out I couldn't get water inside the van via mains pressure. Pressure to van OK as was inline filter. How many filters are there inside the van? Just the one under the sink. Don't know if this is the problem as filters don't simply fail all at once but slow down water flow progressively. Couldn't get water to flow from tap on drawbar.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Is it possible to check for any blockages along the water line. I had a situation once where a lizard crawled up inside a hose fitting and blocked an outlet

Just a thought .. Can you put the hose onto sink tap and reverse flush the line ? Temp take filter out to check ? Is it restrictive hot and cold .

Maybe check the pressure regulator valve in the line it could be blocked. Little brass item up near were the water comes in to van. These can be removed pulled apart and cleaned.

Dave - I was talking to a caravan dealer the other day and they said the the pressure regulator valve you refer to is a common problem in slowing down or blocking off supply into the van. Apparently the valve catches every little bit of solid in the mains water supply.
They said to clean it, as you have suggested, or replace them, but either way every 2 years or whenever pressure drops off suddenly (taking into account that filters will slow down water pressure)

Big o. One common problem has been the mud wasps have built nests in the inlet connector .

I have a Stirling and something similar happened to me, I had the non return valve and the pressure reducer(little brass thing under the van) replaced and there seemed to be an improvement, however it started to happen again. So I checked the pressure at the shower head and the outdoor shower and it appeared ok so went back to the sink and not good, I found that as the anode in the water heater disintegrated it travelled to the filter on the end of the sink tap, so check that before anything else. Also the non return valve will stop any back flush

Hi, I have a filter just behind the connection on the van. If your not careful winding up your hose or if a wasp or ants build in the hose connection or even your hose it will catch in this filter. If my water pressure drops that's first port of call, happened twice so far.
Please keep us posted on the outcome

Disc valve then back flush . If water comes out . There's your issue !! Well ? It's from valve BACK . The hard part is finding the blockage or roughly where it is ..
