I will be around the Lawn Hill area Mid August and was wondering if there are any recent Travelers that could give me some idea of the road conditions lately. Also where do you book for Caravan sites?
Regards Keith

G'day Keith
We are going out there mid September. If you camp at Lawn Hill you have to book with the National Parks.
Adels Grove is the other place you can stay and you book on their website.
Cheers

For the National Park camp sites, you must book ahead, online.
Adels Grove - you could also try phoning them and booking direct that way.
The National Park sites are right at the Gorge. Adels Grove is 10kms from there. You can safely swim in Lawn Hill Creek at both places. The canoe trip (hire canoes) up the Gorge is a must.
National Park has flush toilets and cold showers.
Adels Grove has flush toilets, hot showers, you can have campfire; there is a generator section. There is a shop that sells basic needs, you can buy meals, and there is a range of tours available.
