Going on road end of june, first timer. Can anyone tell me how hard it will be reporting to employment providers, which i do every two weeks, trying to stretch to once a month. Thanks in advance for advice

Is this Centrelink that you need to report too? I'm retired but I don't report to anyone! Cept my Hubby occasionally.

There seems to be a 5 month grey area between when you ''take off'' at the end of this month & 6 months time when you retire. Do you intend trying to receive the dole for the last 5 months of your working life? People on the dole have to apply for a certain amount of jobs per fortnight otherwise they lose their unemployment benefits. What you've posted doesn't really add up?

Been on dole for 3yrs, haven't been able to get work. (In mackay)Report to centrelink every 3mths which won't be a problem. Need to report to employment provider every two weeks. Just wondering if anyone else in the same boat and how they get around this. Av arthritis, which has got worse.
If i dont get on the road, i will go crazy instead.

Have to agree with Desert Dweller. Don't try and beat the system. If you are fair dinkum, talk to centrelink about it. They are there to help legitimate cases.

I have found centrelink very good to work with , They might think it a good idea to to take to the road to look for work , and it might be fun asking for work on the road and meeting people .
