sad day with our Motorhome under water at a storage facility in Sydney's Western suburbs. Very sad that there are many others in the same boat! Banks on the creek two kms away burst overnight. The van next to mine is just over a month old. Let's see how good CIL is with their claim process......once we can get access to it.
Wow, Steve, that's, so sad, to see, hope when you can get in to assess the damage you find it not too bad. We will be interested to see how you get on. The rain has done some incredible damage.
Fingers crossed for mate.
Regards
Greg

Greg,
Thanks for your thought's.
in four weeks the MH would have been based out of Brisbane.
Ready to start again if we have to - it's all the extras that take the time, money and effort to set up how you want and need.

Hi All, Just wanted to say thanks for all your thought's and best wishes.
Update on the condition of the van - water across the internal floor area and most of the external storage areas. Probably not repairable? Lost a fair bit of kit including the generator and other electrical gear. Will just have to wait and see what the insurance assessor has to say.
Probably up to about 20 caravans in the same condition. Feel the pain for the van next to ours.......young couple with their first van - brand new.
Regards,
Stephen

Hi S & N, I was very sad when I saw your images could only imagine how you must feel. One positive is the insurance will go a long way to replacing you Autotrail with the latest model. The differences are subtle but are an improvement. Our AT is also parked up on a horse stud down on the coast thankfully on high ground so hoping all is well as we are in a Italy so no chance of us able to do much if there was a problem.

Hi Geeco,
thanks for your thought's. Hoping that CIL does the right thing, they have be very helpful so far I must say.
Hope you are enjoying Italy. We spent six weeks in Europe this time last year including a couple of weeks in Sicily.
Now the Italians know how to live. In most cases they don't have a lot materially but have so much more in there love of family.
Enjoy the trip And stay safe.
Thx

Just to update you all on the progress so far...... All three vehicles pictured above ( and others) were written off by Suncorp today. The photos tell the story......
Just wanted to update everyone on the progress after the loss of the Motorhome.
Big wrap to CIL Insurance who have today placed a purchase order with Darren at Elite RV for a brand new Autotrail Delaware MH. They have covered a significant difference in price for the replacement vehicle and payed out in full for the contents insurance claimed!
All this in under four weeks from the total loss of the vehicle.
A special thanks to Sachin ( loss assessor) and Debbie ( claims specialist) for their professional approach in dealing with the claim.
I highly recommend this Company from my claims experience.
Thanks to all.

Good news for you Bigman - and what a big wrap for CIL - we are with them, haven't used them for anything other than a windscreen as yet, but that was dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Happy travels!
