Not sure if this is where I should post it but I'd like to hear from anyone that has a bushmaster van or has had one good or bad.

You will probably get the same response as you got from the other forum for same question........... Most frequent both and probably wont be any more forthcoming.....but good luck in your quest for knowledge.......
We to are researching and very reluctant to go with something with so little information....also being in western australia would much prefer something locally built ........so choices here are limited........so guessing the choices are far better over east :)

Hi James yes your right I've given it a go on every forum that I know but no luck an yes we are spolit for choice at this stage I'm left with spending $100 grand on a van I know and can get plenty of infor or I can save about $30,000 for a van with 2more years warranty but can't find anything more about it other then off their own web. Caravan world mag has reviewed them and they are more then happy with the way they are built but I wanted to hear from people that own them. In WA you have the explorer caravan that looks a very good van.

From what I understand the two standout specialist off road van manufacturers are Bushmaster and Kedron. Both these have a good reputation with proven performance. Pricey, but you get what you pay for, and I don't think you can go too wrong with either of these.

Hey Geoff. Dontknow if this helps but I met a guy in Lorne Hill towing a Bushmaster. He was so proud of it. Showed me through it and said that it was the best van he had ever had. He was really chuffed and spent an hour or so telling me about its build quality and its features. So there was one happy camper. Have heard that Kedron make an excellent van also. Cheers Phil.

Thanks Philw at lest that's one person so far and thanks Ian I'm not sure how long they have been making off road vans and the bushtracker is out as it's too heavy and very dear too much for us and the Kedron well I'm not taken by them so I hope to find out more about the bushmaster over time.

Bushmaster is an armoured personnel vehicle built in Ballarat for the Australian Army. It would make a red hot off road tug!!

We are not familiar with a Bushmaster caravan however, we tow a Bushtracker. Irrespective of the money you spend on whichever caravan, the tug vehicle is really what comes first. You know, don't put the cart before the horse. If your tow vehicle cannot do the job safely with something to spare, then it won't tow a decent off road van.

That's correct Robyn and Phillip that's why we bought the tow vehicle first and have made a decision not to buy a heavy van we want a tare weight of no more then about 2500kg
