Grandparents day today at my grandson's school. Asked to bring memorabilia from my days at school. My daughter asked could I get some stuff off my mother (92). Got a School Magazine. In it is a a pic of the winner of a fancy dress competition as the school social. The winner is dressed up as Hitler. I guess in 1936 the moustache and clothes and demeanour was a bit of a joke. Dare I take the magazine? From the descriptions of what others wore, there was plenty of other outfits that wouldn't make the cut these days.

Why not, it happened, nothing can change that - nor should it.
May be 'not done' to dress up in that now but then it wasn't a problem.
My thoughts anyway....

I'd take it in - in all probabliity most of the kids would not know who Hitler was. Too much cotton wool around kids nowdays. The kids may learn a few hard facts.
Good Luck.

My Dear old Dad (RIP) said we should Always laugh and make jokes of Tyrants like Hitler. It's only when we take them seriously either hating them or admiring them that they achieve the Power to do their evil acts. No one wants to align themselves with a Joke of a person.
