Just booked two seats to Townsville from Port Macquarie via Virgin Airlines .
Remember when you got your ticket for a travel agent and it came as a carbon copy about 6 inches by 3 inches Now they send you an E-Ticket to print out consisting of 4 A4 pages with the same flight and safety info as the old style ticket So much for a paperless society . Not to finish there they send you in the same message as the E- Ticket a 6 more A4 pages Itinerary confirming what's on the E= Ticket . Save the paper and take the cost off the ticket. Flying out of Port Macquaire I may have to sell off at least two grand children to pay the fare.

You don't need to print any of it.
50 years ago there was no way you would have considered making that flight at all because of the cost. Flying has never been cheaper.
Cheers,
Peter

And then you have to figure out how to book yourself on. Its all beyond me, I ask for help. Then again even the self check outs in supermarkets is beyond me.

Haha.....I'm sure many of you will remember when personal computers were 1st introduced and we were told then that the world would become a paperless society, saving money and the environment.
Now even companies like IBM have two back-ups and print everything just in case the electronic system falls over (how many times does the EFTPOS machine not work in shops or teller machines?
Now days we actually use more paper to record the same information as pre-computer times!

Hey Brickies,
I would just hit a "Brick Wall" when it comes to doing what you said, as I don't have a thing call a iphone. Oh!!! Yes I have a mob phone and I struggle to understand how to get messages. Ok it is a bit like me a sort of "dinosaur model."
