Hi Jim, I've been following your trials and tribulations with your new van. I reckon you should apply for a senior position with Jayco (they probably haven't thought about such a position ). What about it Jim "senior quality control officer ".
Cheers Owen.

Ahhh, the ol' 'the toast is cooked' alarm. Best thing to do with them is remove the battery.

yep - we're another who has removed the battery in our alarm. Cook bacon, toast or anything else and off goes the alarm.
Couldn't find the one someone had mentioned a few weeks ago at Bunnings which has a mute button when cooking smoky/soot producing food, so out came the battery.
Probably should move it like AK has done, but our RV is no-where the length of his (RV that is lol) and don't want a set of drill holes in the roof and the BOSS wont let me make holes in anything at all in the van......
But Jim, at least they put air in your tyres - hot air from all they blow out their rear ends about how great their products are

Hi Owen,
Sorry they couldn't afford my salary package, plus I Don't like the AMX Card. I like my Visa Platinum Card. Enough points accuried for two for a free return trip to China.
This way I earn extra Brownie points with Lambie.

Hi Peter,
Your not wrong. Lambie's brain is thinking all the time, as to where she will go cloths shopping next. Rural Australia will be getting a big lift up in the coming months. What with every town we visit. We will earn enough points to aquire a free night's accommodation.

I have to agree, it is a bit of a job getting the 9v battery into place, but not impossible,
What we like is the ease of just hitting the Hush Button ( when burning toast ), which stops the alarm straight away,
If you check on Bunnings Web Site, just enter Smoke alarms, and you will see it, and plenty more advertised.

Thanks KJ. Think I will get a hush button one and fit that a bit lower down the wall to allow for a little soot from the toast and bacon (and the alarm goes off even before you burn stuff) and leave the original one where it is with no battery (unless I can avoid drilling more holes in the ceiling with the hush puppy one lol
