We planned,we checked, we altered,we left. Yes we have started off on our 6/7month
journey. We left Boronia in Vic in bright sunshine, travelled 50k into dreary drizzle, then at
Yea heading for Seymour the heavens opened up with high winds and torrential rain.
Scary stuff, full concentration required for this. Reached Seymour drizzle again got
to Euroa in sunshine. Stayed at a neat CP and visited the town. They have signs on lots of buildings
showing there heritage, a really nice VC display near the RSL. They also have a "friends of the Library"
2nd hand book shop, lots of great choices. Left Euroa next day and travelled via Benalla,(another book place)
to Cobram, overnighted at the Willows CP and visited rellies and bought a Camps 8 book (left the other one at home,bugga.)
Today was overcast as we travelled through to Urana in NSW, Scones on arrival, & $20. pn. very nice. The town
is a bit run down but they are trying to improve it.
If this type of post is too mundane (boring) let me know and I will refrain from doing further posts.
I am trying to figure out how to get photo's from my phone and camera so I can post them.

Hi Kevin and Hilary. No - your posts were no mundane or boring - like many others, we enjoy reading about others travels and especially interesting things they find along the way.
If you go back about a week or so, you will find the last of Dougwe's (the avatar with the guy with the red Indian headgear on) monthly post, which he has been doing for ages. You may pick up a few hints on what to include in yours - you can certainly make them longer and more detailed and some info about the CPs (rubbish, great, special features, price etc)
You will blow Doug out of the water if you can also post some pics as well :))
Look forward to hearing from you in about 4 weeks time !

What type of Phone and Camera are you using. I have an apple S5 ph and Ipad, + SD camera + my Toshiba satellite LapTop.
My Lambie got from the Apple store This little box that contains two White slide in's connectors to my Ipad. The ph & Ipad talk to one another. My SD card slips into the face of my laptop and also with this second little Apple connector It can transfer from the SD card into my Ipad and takes seconds to upload the Photo's onto the Ipad. VERY CLEVER STUFF.
I can't tell you the name of it. But someone here will tell you what it is called.

Hi Peterpan, start a blog. It is a very rewarding exercise and you have a record of your trips in the one place forever. Blogger is a very basic one, Wordpress (my choice) can be as simple or complicated as you like.
I have had mine since March 2015, I backdated my trips back to June 2011 when we took delivery of our 5th wheeler, you can edit the date of your posts very easily. You can use it as a diary to record your daily highlights, add photos later when you are home, or have better internet. I crop my photos or reduce the size down to use less internet data to upload just using the Paint program on my laptop. Use a word processor to write up each days record, then copy and paste at a more suitable time. Save your photos to a new folder for every town, state or event and rename them so you don't forget were they came from, then add them later when you have internet or get home.
There are lots of tutorials on Youtube to get you started. Do yourself a favour, you won't regret it.
Thanks for the replies, there's no way that I can blow Dougwe out of the water,
but I'll take some of his style if I can. I have found the way to put photos onto
my computer. I will check the forum instructions on how to put them on here.
We are in NSW at present heading for Qld,NT,and beyond. The CP manager came round this
morning and cleaned the windscreen, how good is that?
We don't have too much internet data at present but when i get free ones I'll do catch ups.

Just a quickie,
We went from Urana to West Wyalong then to Molong. Partly on the Newell and partly on back roads.
Then from Molong to Gulargambone for 2 nights. The CP puts on a $10 roast Wenesday & Sunday nights.
They also have happy hour damper every night. Sorry the photo's of the sculptures in Urana are still not on yet.
Hopefully by next post. Tossing up whether to go to Dirrinbandi or Moree next week. Really happy crowd here.

G'day All,
To continue, we went from Gulargambone to Walgett then off to Moree.
Held up by a very large herd of cattle on the road,everything on the road was fresh.
New even. finally made it to Moree and gave the front of the van a quick wash.
This morning went over to Dalby, it's a bigger town than we first thought.
This is a small arachnid found in Urana.
Sorry it's so big, more learning required. This is a magnificent work,
the town is not doing all that well, but is trying hard to improve.

I know it's been a while but we ran out of data for the internet. At the moment we are
at our sons place in Rockhampton, but camping at the Riverside CP.
Our last take off point was Dalby and we travelled through to Goomeri and stayed at the showgrounds for 3 days.
Country is looking a little dry. We met our friends in Goomeri and enjoyed their company. Barry has recently been diagnosed with advanced emphasima
and oxygen deprivation to the brain. He's coping reasonably well, but has his off moments. They were going to travel south but he couldn't cope
away from home, so they went home after the three days. They took us over to Maryborough for a $10 all you can eat lunch at the pub. Great food by the way.
Then went over to Hervey Bay,due to no internet I wasn't able to contact Happy Wanderer and see if she was able to come for afternoon tea.
Barry and Jan know both these towns very well, and showed us lots of interesting spots. We left Goomeri just before the pumpkin festival, apparently
the town grows by the thousands. What a sight that would be. A breathalyzer station was set up outside the showgrounds, so we all watched the process
with interest.
We went to Bundaberg with our friends and stayed with them for 4 days. POI Bundy now has three Aldi stores,talk about over supply. They all seem to be busy
though. We left Bundy just before the Bundy show was to begin, and travelled to Rockhampton staying for 10 days. We'll be seeing lots of soccer matches,
(grandkids are keen players) I am advised that we have to attend the Big footbal match being shown on tv. Something about Qld v NSW or something.
Rocky will probably be our last comfort stop as we will continue north then west, Darwin is on the list, but the journey to get their should be exciting
and fascinating. I am not a photographers bootlace and rarely use the camera, 'cos I forget I've got it. I will try to remember to take some shots on the way.

G'day All,
At last we've got Internet and phone.
To continue our little saga,we left Rockhampton and drove to Sarina,and stayed at the Sarina Palms C.P.
This is a neat tidy park,with jungle animal creatures placed in various places. Visited Hayes Point a huge coal terminal.
Next stop was just out of Proserpine at Gunna Go CP. $30 for 1st night then $25 every night after that. A Neat but basic park.
Went to Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour. Airlie is a mini Surfers and Shute Harbour is basically empty. Time has flown and it's 10th
June and we at Ayr, here we had a rain of soot from the local canefields, followed the next day with light showers.On the 13th we arrived in Charters
Towers. Spent 2 days here. We witnessed a prang in the main street,a P plater decided, for no known reason, to run into the back of a parked 4wd ute
and bend her car severely. She was ok. Police came quite quickly.
15th we were in Hughenden, Allen Terry CP, good for smaller to medium rigs.
16th we were in Richmond,CP has a night meal for reasonable price, provided by the townspeople, good too,entertainment as well. Had a look at all
the dinosaurs and exhibits.
17th off to Julia Creek it rained overnight which caused some problems at the RV free camp, a bit boggy.
20th we arrived at Wal's Camp to meet up with our Bundaberg friends and we'll travel on together.
22nd drove to MT.Isa where we voted and lunched at the Irish Club, huge Burgerfilled the spot. Overnighted at the ww2 Airfield.This was an adventure for us as we
aren't really set up for free camping, but we survived and enjoyed it.
Our friends are seasoned free campers so that made it so much easier for us.
23rd we went to Camooweal stayed at the PO Hotel CP. unpowered. 2 petrol stations, neither of which had Premium fuel. Panic Stations , can't make it to
Three Ways and Barklay Homesteads prenium pump is bust. So we made up a mixture of 95 and 91 and that did the job. Whew.
24th crossed into NT and got to Barklay Homestead, lobbed there overnight on water no power.
25th Overnighted at Attack Creek free camp, this was fairly full by late afternoon. We refuelled at Three Ways, big sigh of relief.
26th travelled to another freecamp at Newcastle Waters, again by mid to late arvo getting quite full.By nightfall no room.
27th we arrived at Dunmarra and stayed at the CP there. No probs getting fuel here. Park has grassy sights, and friendly staff. Dunmarra pies are great.
Meals at the roadhouse are truckie sized, huge and tasty.
28th we overnighted at Warlock Rest Area, again filled up quickly, friendly mob though.
29th drove up to Daly Waters Pub for a look see,then continued on to Mataranka and are staying at the Mataranka Homestead,swim in the pool is 1st on the list. Tea at the homestead, great entertainment after tea.
We are here till the end of the month, then our journey will continue onwards and upwards. Curses and other nasty words, my computer won't recognise the card from my camera,it did a while ago but not anymore. However I will perservere until it will download.
