Some might remember I put a question up here in "Techies" about my van lights blinking every 5 seconds when hooked up to my Colorado.
Well, I had the Collie serviced here in Townsville yesterday and I took all the comments received from fellow GN members and handed to the service tech. "No problem we will sort it out hopefully for you" They did, well when I hooked van up to test earlier this morning, NO BLINKING. Looks like the problem is sorted.
Printed on the work sheet was,
"Configured the trailer interface module with update for trailers/caravans with led lights. Customer to monitor, issue should be fixed"
That and the service were all done in my, still, free service.
THANKYOU for that and great service and the courtesy bus am and pm. Well done Tony Ireland Townsville.

Good news Doug it would seem that the manufacture has identified and rectified the problem ( probably with a fair bit of prodding ) so one can only wonder if the others have also came up with a fix
Oh one question though do the blinkers still blink or did they fix them too
Lol

Woody mate, the only blinkers now are the ones on my face when looking at the twins. Saves distractions
Ken, worth checking I reckon.

and I thought the blinking lights were alien space craft wanting to snatch you away for careful study LOL

If they studied me too carefully Bruce they would find heaps wrong and give us "Earthlings" a bad rep mate.
That said, I am good mates with the aliens in the middle of Greens Lake, North Central VIC.
May the force be with you.

If it happens (not on all makes/models) it is resolved by having to put in a resistor on each of Tail, Stop, Left & Right circuit before the trailer connection, so that the car computer thinks it is delivering enough power for bulbs .

I like the idea of a program adjustment rather than an add on adaptor. Next service I will ask our fantastic, fabulous FORD dealer lol

I still have 2 blinking leds on the white lights high up on the front of the van, they are very dull but when you turn the lights on they (3 leds ) all come on bright as.
some little bit of power getting thru but only to these 2 lights
