I put this question on another site and I cant seem to locate it so im hoping I can get some info on here
I would like to put my van draw bar first in the side driveway and the optitec mover looks about the best option
I have a couple of obsticals that may stop me
no 1 I have to go over the typical rounded qld gutter with first the mover then the rear duals on the van
no 2 I have about 3 mt of grass footpath to cross as well
I have watched the videos on the optitec site and they don't show the gutter situation in them
I, if possible, would like some feedback from owner/users of these movers
the other question I have relates to the E BAY versions as a cheaper option ($200 aprox as apposed to $1900 approx.)

Hi, you might like to go into "search" and put "motorised jockey wheel" my post should come up from May 17 2014. On that search list I also just saw another post " optitec remote controlled jockey wheel" for sale. Don't know if it's sold or not??? Yell out if you cant find the posts.

We still love this jockey wheel. In fact I kissed it the other day!! It saves so much stress for us trying it fit the van into the carport that is only just high enough to fit the aircon if it's in pretty much in the exactly correct spot. Our needs are different than yours. We are able to back our van over the gutter, over the grass on the car. Only have to manouver it into the carport. Without really knowing I don't THINK it would be good on grass, but for our purpose, LOVE it.

Where I am in Townsville as we speak a neighbour has/had one and I was asking him earlier after seeing your question about it. He said it doesn't like the same kerb you mentioned or the grass, especially when wet. He sold it and is looking for a better option. He has a 16ft pop top van.

I didn't give the search function a thought . I just had a look and not too many answers there and I sent a pm about the for sale one
I can only hope
as dougwe says I can overcome the grass with plywood and possibly the gutter with a ramp
but I am hoping for some personal input from people using one at the moment
