Yep, I have arrived in Townsville and set up. Bring on Winter.
The southern dust has been washed off the Collie and inside is also nice and clean now. I thought the Collie was ging into cardiac arrest at one stage from shock. It gets the big service treatment this Monday so will be like a bought one after.
If anyone is passing through or staying here as well and you would like a pow wow, send up the smoke signals.
Keep Safe on the roads.

We only left last Saturday Doug after a rushed trip up there for family matters so we've missed you once again. We found it hot...in fact very hot with temps over 30C and humidity to match.
Night were great however. Townsville seemed pretty subdued to us but they still are building new suburbs on the outer edges. We have a few friends with houses on the depressed market and they were pretty down.
On a bright side we had some great meals at the Bushland Beach pub and as always fish and chips is always good up there.
Regards

Jenny and Barry, Extremely hot and humid but I am coping OK so far. The vans aircon is on most of the day when I am home.
Kathy and Frank, yes the twins are here in Townsville, I can't keep them away from here. They are not banned from Townsville only Greens Lake and this forum I must say though there are some pretty rough things popping up in "I digress" lately. Much worse than two dressed young Indian ladies. Cold showers are the order of the day Frank and not for what your are thinking mate
Denis and Joy, " Missed each other by THAT much " The weather hasn't changed, still 30+ and humid, very humid. Bushland beach pub is good I agree. F&C I find hard to find real good ones IMO. The Seaview pub on the Strand is a favourite of mine too. Thinking of joining The Brothers this year. Leagues Club that is. Spos ya thought I meant the Monks

I hope to head up that way later for a while. I was heading that way last year but the local medicine man had a different plan for me at the time.
I don't think the medicine man would approve of those cakes and pies though Cruisa. I will do a deal with ya mate, you don't tell him and I won't

Great part of the world up there. We loved Mt Elliot-Bowling Green Bay National Park, a nature lovers delight.

Hello Dougwe
Have an enjoyable time in Townsville
I have only ever been up as far as Rockhampton, on the east coastal roads, and then inland
I will look forward to your monthly smoke signals, concerning that part of the world
ps
I received your PM, so thanks for that, and sent a reply
