Ah, the old GQ 4.2's One of the best built and bullet prove. I had a 2.8 and couldn't kill it. Finally sold it to the guy 2 doors up and cried when I did. I get to see it every day though. Enjoy the rest of your trip

Similar to our setup...looks good and hope you have many ks of fun.
For the heat issues - Try - Three row radiator and check the viscous fan as well as the hoses.
91 GQ Td42 automatic patrol - I nearly avoided computers but the auto trans has one unfortunately.
98 Jayco Westport full semi offroad van 18 foot ONE fussy owner and it came trip ready. All we needed to do was to add water.
We keep discovering stuff, such as an unused blow up kayak, even a new Petanque set.
Shakedown trip was from Perth to Gold Coast via Canberra. Really shook on the back road from Merriwa to Willow tree.
Frank has a bit of a heat problem, but runs pretty sweet for an old bus. we have some yet to be played tricks to help him rejuvenate.
Gertie has her own quirks but a couple months up on blocks in my brothers back yard while we live in her will allow us to straighten things out.
then back on the road.
Keep rowing argonauts!
Cheers from Rick and Laurena
