We watched Channel 7's presentation of the Edinburgh Tattoo here in Perth last night,
All I can say is, Channel 7 managed to completely stuff the Presentation right up,
Why did they have to have 3 People waffling on in front of the performance and blocking out some great displays, ???
As if this wasn't bad enough, every second performance was cut for about 4-5 Adverts, then when the show re-commenced, we had to put up with Pop-up adds, once again covering half the screen !!!
Finally, as the complete assembly of bands marched off at the conclusion of the show, there on the lawn, was a Dirty great sign advertising Channel 7 News.
WELL DONE CH7, YOU MANAGED TO COMPLETELY "STUFF-UP A GREAT SHOW" .

I wholeheartedly agree, near the end the stated that the Australian Army would be on.
They didn't come on at all. Only half of the Maori display was shown, they left out the real haka.
I felt that every time the "presenters " came on to waffle they cut into the rest of the display and
we missed out on what was happening. The high shots showing the formation marching was pretty good though.
I know it's the Scottish Tattoo but it would have been good if the host country got some of the limelight.
Disappointed.

Hi all;
I have to agree with one and all, we looked forward to the tatoo on television as we had also seen the show in Melbourne wich was great and well worth the time and effort. BUT what channel 7 had show on television last night was a total wast of time, too many adds, and 3 compares and to top it off all of the promos that are shown along with the show. Channel 7 what a disgrace......You realy know how to stuff up a program !!!!! Heads should roll with the dirrectors of that showing last night. Kosh and the other 2 bimbos would be better of directing traffice at Flinders street station.

Aaaahhh gee. We are away in the van and taped the show hoping to enjoy it when we get home. If it is that bad we have only disappointment to look forward to.

I think you will be very disappointed Kev, the best thing you can do with your tape would be either burn it, or wrap it up and send it to Channel 7 ,with a note, " PLEASE EXPLAIN"
The coverage of that great Scottish event was nothing but a shambles, When it was Broadcast by Channel 2, you would see all the show, there were no adds and you never even saw the commentator , that Bloke was a great person who could explain everything that was going on, and could really put feeling into his commentary, not like the three dip-sticks we had to watch, all they could do was make weak jokes over the top of just about every display. I'll never watch this show on 7 again.

Well Dougwe, I sure hope you're not disappointed with the sound of the Commentators blubbering over all the music,
I found the sound very disappointing, compared with the ABC production last year, as I have said, a total stuff-up by 7.
