I just bought a 2010 Nova Revivor. The Caravan Yard I bought it from was less than helpful when I asked to walk me through the workings of the Van. Can anyone our there help me with this. I start my trip up the centre of Australia, 16th May, and I dont want to be struggling to work out things along the way

Hello, we had a 2010 Nova Revivor for 4 years so maybe we can help you with some answers. What are you wanting to know about. If you list them we may be able to help you.

Thanks for your reply....
1. I cannot find a connection to attach a hose to, to have continual running water if I have the use of a tap. The previous owner has attached a hose and reel under the van...purpose I don't know. It is attached to the tank, but it has a stop valve on end of hose...so that is not the way to fill the tank.
2. There are to tanks, is one a grey water tank?
3. There is a switch near the step, inside the entrance. It turns the 12v off. What is the switch in the front boot near the battery for. They think it is to charge battery when on 240v.
4. I am trying to find out if the Anderson plug is for charging the Fridge or Battery. I think that was put on by previous owner.
When I picked up my previous Caravan from Jayco in Bendigo, they walked me through the whole van....they washed it....serviced it....fixed anything that was broken....this did not happen with this Company in Adelaide. They think visual look...is a service. Didnt even take wheels off to check grease etc.
Cheers

Hello, it sounds as if your Nova has had some modifications, ours was factory standard.
The usual water connection to the van is at the rear near bumper bar. it sounds as though previous owner would connect the hose to tap, fill the tanks and then use the pump to pump water from tanks. Why?
Two tanks were standard, if one is grey water it has been modified.
We are not sure of what the switch you are referring to in the front boot. Maybe a photo would help.
but I have notice some kind member has offered to visit you and sort things for you. it is better for him to see what you are talking about. Our Nova was a good van, did about 50,000 klms in it. Only sold to get an ensuite and now have Olympi. As Nova was too expensive for what we wanted.
Happy travels and hope you get it sorted.

Thank you for your message Val, Yes the Van has been modified I think. Why someone would put a covered hose reel under the Van, puzzles me. I will probably remove it. It seems strange there is no connect for water. I was told by the Company who sold the Van to me that one tank was for Grey water....they could be wrong there. The water meter in the Van relates to water tank and no meter for grey water.
I have 3 weeks to sort the Van out before my trip....so I have some time up my sleeve.
