Hi all, I am a newbie to this site, I have been travelling since August 2015 and have been a constant reader of the solo traveller. I am not one for this sorter of site, but have decided to give it a go. I am currently at hard hill Wedderburn vic. I like to swing a coil and do some fishing and I tend to spend a week or 2 at most sites . I am in no hurry, I am heading to the gold fields north of broken hill before going across to Ballina for a mates 60th I would like to catch up with solo travellers.

Welcome surf and turf - I hope you enjoy the site - you can learn a lot - but read the whole forum - from General right down - all sub forums are open to anyone, and I for one, quite often post on Solos, because that's where I started - still got some friends on there, or any other forum where I have something to comment on. Met some great people this way - friends for life!
Someone will be along to chat with you - no worries, sounds like you are a well sorted out person - good on ya,

Hi surf and turf,
I'm not in you area atm as I'm in Mannum SA BUT I just wanted to say hi and am glad you dropped in to this forum. If you keep letting us know where you are then I'm sure one day you will be able to meet up with other Solo's in person. This is a friendly site where you will be made to feel most welcome so I hope you continue to enjoy the company of others here. Happy and safe travels and make the most of happy hour if you find company wherever you stop for the evening. You will definitely find nice camping folk wherever you are.....enjoy your fishing.....and don't forget to tell us of the BIG ones you catch.

Hi Solos
Just joined the forum and am leaving in July with my Grand Vitara and tent tucked in the back. Starting from Perth, first stop Cervantes.
Looking forward to the long and winding road and new friends.... and any advice. Like Freddie I am in no hurry and intend to take it easy.
