Hello Ge
Here in the West we have something called Fuel Watch.
Each day at around 3 pm, the service stations put up, (on the Internet), the price of fuel between the hours of 6 am the next morning to 6 am the morning after, (24 hour period).
As kiwijims has said, today (Tuesday 26 April) the price of ULP is being sold in Perth, (South of the river area), from 97.9 cents per litre, at (South Street) Caltex Star Mart Murdoch, up to 125.9 cents per litre at (High Road) Caltex Star Mart Willeton.
In case anyone thinks that the difference in price, could be because of the long distances we have to travel in the West Murdock to Willington service stations is according to the RAC Trip Planner, 8.68 kilometres. (eight point six eight kilometres not 868)
Some of us from the West think that it is just a coincidence that Caltex has 4 outlets selling ULP @ less than 122.9 cpl 8 outlets selling @ 122.9 cpl 29 outlets selling at 125.9 All within a radius of around 25 kilometres.
If the price of fuel in the West is indeed regulated, then whoever is regulating it, are perhaps sometimes very economical with the truth.

Ge - youre way off course and owe KJ an apology. Fuel prices are not regulated ( I know - as I used to be an Area Mngr for BP, WA) In WA (and you should know as your profile says youre mainly in this State), prices for the following day have to be given to the State govt agency - Fuel Watch (and that's all they do is watch and report prices for viewing by the public) the day prior. Price at our local Caltex in Perth is $1.28.9 for ULP
