We have decided to make a new caravan table to suit us better than the old original... done that but what I need now is to find someone in Brisbane - North side that will laminate the top and edges at a reasonable cost -- any one any ideas or recommendations - they would be much appreciated thanks you

Meggsy, laminating a table is quite a simple exercise. Have a go at it, you may well surprise yourself as to how well you do.
Look up the internet for tutorials and tips on how to go about it.

Hi, I would call into a couple of local cabinet makers, The Kitchen type of manufacturers. They may have left overs from a large job or two that may suit that could save a bit.
Can't suggest anyone in particular as Brisbane - northside covers a pretty fair distance.
Mike.

I agree with The Phantom, look at the examples on 'you tube' and have a go.
if you made the new table you should find the laminating well within your capabilities.
There always has to be a first time to attempt something new.
Looking forward to seeing a photo of your finished work.
Good luck. Colin

Just about any cabinet maker should be able to help you with offcuts. I used to work for Laminex Industries (many years ago) and they used to sell half sheets with the smallest being 1800mm x 750mm in post forming grade which is really easy to work with. If you do it yourself, most tutorials will show to use a gel or spreadable type adhesive, but a brushable adhesive is a lot easier and faster, you can also use the sprayable type with a brush.
Another thought could be Mister Ply Wood here's some contact details for their Brisbane Stores:
