Thanks for that John. Interestingly, the site has a summary of all caravans and I guess 99% of them on that recall list are Jaycos.
Does that mean 1) Jayco are the only honest manufacturer to list their faulty units 2) most faulty units are Jayco 3) that Jayco have about 50% of the RV market (which includes their m/homes)

actually I think it simply means that a Jayco supplier provided a sub-standard product that Jayco now has to remedy.

Hi John,
The way I interpreted. That it is refering to wind up campers not Pop Tops. Our van Number falls within the recall numbers. Hope not.
we only just got it back again after a week and a half..

Where is the chassis number located on a Jayco camper?. I can find the vin number on the plate. Is the chassis number part of the vin number?

I was in our local dealer yesterday. The faulty part is the cable used in the windup mechanism. The campers affected are the recent produced ones and included all their current display campers.

Laurieoz the chassis number is welded onto the top of the drawbar.
