Does anyone have any information about the Gunlom road Kakadu National Park. Is it ok for my Coromal on road pop top. Did the road 20 years ago in a hired 4wd and camped but for the life of me can't remember what the road was like. Thanks

Hi, I was down there In July last year, the road was very rough & corrugated then. Would suggest if the road hasn't been graded & Your van is not set up for rough roads to reconsider the need to travel. There are a lot of really great places within Kakudu with excellent access.
IMO.
Mike.

It is not far. Just go slower if it is bad.
At 10kph you can go anywhere without damage - what is an extra hour or 2?
Better than not going.
Cheers,
Peter

Thanks Peter
I'll see how I go on a caravanless reccy, but I agree with you that careful driving leads to great discoveries.
