There is a list of mechanics in NT to get inspection done . You sent the inspection by either fax , email or snail mail to RTA . Pay and your done ., remember it MUST be an approved NT (or whatever state ) to be approved ..
Am in a similar situation and will be in WA when the rego is due. Checked with RTA and an inspection is now valid for up to 6 months. Had the inspection done before I left. Now only have to wait for the renewal and can pay it on line.

Register the car to a Victorian address and you never have to get another roadworthy again.
Still can't believe some states still carry on with this pointless process instituted and advocated solely by the automotive servicing industry. Study after study both here and overseas has shown there is absolutely no reduction in vehicle crashes attributable to defects by having regular roadworthiness testing.

Study after study both here and overseas has shown there is absolutely no reduction in vehicle crashes attributable to defects by having regular roadworthiness testing.
