hi guys, we recently purchased a 1990 hiace, it has a bull bar and spare wheel on front. The wife since put a cover on the wheel. My question is, will the spare wheel on front and the cover restrict air flow to the radiator. There is no spare wheel bracket underneath etc. thanks in advance.
Have a look under the front of the van. These types of van the radiator is set well back & most of the air comes from under the front.

Thanks for your response. Yes it does sit way back. Just needed some assurance as heading of in bit over 2 weeks. I'm usually pretty adventurous when it comes to vehicles and we have RAA plus which is a must. Only used it once in 15 years and that was on a kombi.

Brian Hi, Not sure of SA requirements but probably worth checking the numberplate visibility. They are a bit savage on this in QLD as they don't want to miss out on any "camera" revenue.
Enjoy your new vehicle & travels.
MIke.

We had a Hi Ace Camper years ago that had a spare wheel on the bull bar, with a cover on it as well. Never had a problem with overheating the engine. Nor where there ever any number plate issues.
