Has anyone had our problem? Want to have an annexe fitted to the van but the exhaust gas from the heat exchanger is a low wall grill under the awning side of the van ,option one pipe through the roof? Option two would be to pipe above the awning through the wall has anyone had this problem thanks in advance

The vent can be under the awning, but you must have at least 2 sides open at all times.

They won't install full annexe which is what we want unless we vent it differently

Yes, the new rules require that the annexe cannot be fully enclosed when any gas appliance vents into that area
Any changing to the fridge, or other gas appliance , venting Shall be carried out by a licensed gas fitter.
There are specific requirements on size, methods, etc in the Standard

For maximum efficiency i think you will find that all fridges should be installed with vents to the roof. Dometic state this and my 3way operates very effectively with this system even in humid conditions. Cheers Allen

Agree. Chimneys draw/draft properly. Side vents don't do so well and create issues when the ambient temperature rises to the mid 30's, even for tropical rated 3ways. For decades van manufacturers in Australia have done it wrong. The northern hemisphere all vent to the roof.
