Nice rig.
I used to have a Mazda E2000 LWB a few years ago and wanted a cheap awning. I bought two gutter aerial mounts and a strip of that alloy used to put annexes on the side of caravans. I didn't want to use screws through the roof of the Van.
Two tent poles and some rip-stop nylon with a rope sewed into the one edge and a few grommets for the poles and a I had a cheap awning.

Our first day was 647 ks, arrived in Hay about 4ish, all set up and tinnie time.
We arrived in Port Douglas on Saurday, couple of dramas but all good now. After night in Charleville we headed on to Muttaburra, spent night there for $15 power site, only have about 6 sites at the moment but they are working on another six. We juiced up next day and was heading to Hughendon, but was told we would not get through in the van. We headed towards any way, but quickly turned back, very rough roads hadn't been grad d in months. So we back tracked about 80 ks and took another route, but not to Hughendon. Came in via Townsville. Very hot drive for the old girl on Saturday and the last 40 odd ks of winding roads gave her some grief as we rolled into port Doug with no brakes. The next day we had full pedal again so I'm thinking hot brakes hot fluid etc. will see how we go when head to Townsville next Saturday. If don't feel right wil get it checked, but I think should be ok.

Currently in Townsville for another few days and then we head back towards home, not going to head to Darwin as we decided we would go on the Ghan in October instead. Will stay home a week before we head of to Eyre Peninsula for a bit.

Been home for a week and heading of again tomoz. Taking the Hyundai and the mouse this time. Gunna head up to Alice springs. Prolly be back in 3 weeks, then will head of again in the hiace before Cathy goes back to work. After 7 weeks she will retire so things should get interesting after that.
Went to Ayres rock and Alice etc , was in the wild storm in Alice, but we survived. Heading of again in the hiace on Sunday, just gunna head to broken hill then over to Peterborough back down to blanchetown and then home. Should on be about 7 days.
