At the bottom right of each thread where it says "jump to" is a subscribe button .
Thats what I use , I get an email when someone replies to a topic I have subscribed to .

Well, the option I found doesn't work, no notifification of the above replies.
Appears I will have to rescind that comment, just found them in the Junk Mail folder
Will try the suggestions
Many thanks, Jeff

From what you said the notifications do work.
The problem is not the notifications feature not working. The problem is in your computer, in your mail system. Your spam filtering is thinking the notifications are spam. Open one of your notifications in the Junk Mail Folder. You should be able to find something at the top of the message to release messages from the Grey Nomads addresses from being declared as junk by your email client.
If you learn to set up your mail programme correctly then the notification system is very useful. Use the help system for your mailer and you will find all sorts of useful features in it.
ps I have just ticked the box marked "Email me whenever there is a new post to this topic" to see when you reply.

Yes Jeff, got it OK dated today 0828. Its not unusual for spam filters to direct auto generated replies from forums into the junk mail. I have had a few of them directed that way

Hello All,
For some time now I have struggled trying to keep up with topics I have posted comments about.
Found out tonight that if I use Advanced Editor there is an option to tick so I receive email notification of replies to the topic
thegreynomads.activeboard.com/f127483/the-grey-nomads-general-forum/
I am running firefox which brings up a dozen windows of favourites. Active board gives the latest on the site
