Has anyone tried the Yankie Canned Beer called TUN,
I bought a block of 30 cans ( BITTER BEER ) the other day and was quiet surprised at it's taste,
Slips down rather nice, and with an alcohol content of 4% it adds a bit of life to Happy Hour
One other good thing is, it's about $10.00 cheaper per/block ( in W.A. ) than other local beers.
Think I will slip another block into he caravan before SWMBO spots it LOL

Only Woollies stores sell them
Last time I got 2 cartons of 30 cans for only $30
they told me they had to get rid of it because of useby date
So I don't know how populair it is
it lasted me nearly one and a half year that's how much I drink

"Strike Me" 2 blocks for $30.00 !!! Now that's a great buy,
Tun is sold by the Dan Murphy liquor outlets here in the West, The cost does vary a bit, but the Bitter Beer ( Red Can ) is usually around $30.00 a Block of 30 cans . that's almost $10.00 a block cheaper than a lot of other brews here,
Yes, you are right Ballast2, the cans are smaller in size, being only 330 ml compared with the standard 375 ml, but the Alcohol content is 4% where most others are 3.5 %.
All in all, it tastes alright on by tongue. so I'm happy with it, as long as the hungry Revenue collectors don't up the tax on it too much.

Dan Murphy sells it here in Qld and it really is a good example of "you get what you pay for". They don't sell many.

Gotta agree with you about the Tun Hako, but what about XXXX Gold, how do they justify the price for that? Hard to say which one is worse.
Partially due to unauthorized Duff beer in the country, Fox announced plans to sell official Duff beer in Chile starting in early 2016, with plans to expand elsewhere in South America and into Europe.
In the mid 1990s, the Lion Nathan brewery in Australia produced a beer called Duff. 20th Century Fox brought legal action against the company. The product was ordered to be pulled from store shelves and destroyed, because of the likely association in public mind between the Simpsons brand and characters and Lion Nathan's product, though the manufacturer did not use any Simpsons characters or the Simpsons Duff Beer design. The beer became a collectors' item in the process, with one case selling for US$13,000.

Well I don't know what that has to do with Tun Beer, but it's an interesting read anyway.
