Anyone with any experience with the telescopic ladders. Review's are not good, broken steps, very flexible. None of our retail outlets selling them?

Love mine, use it all the time, just need to keep all the dirt out of it. I use it for cleaning solar panels on roof of caravan and cleaning gutters on peoples/friends houses. It's not very flexible as long as you stand it up correctly, I would imagine if you put at 45 degrees it might be a bit flexible. I bought mine from ebay for $110.00 about 3 years ago. www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-BULLET-3-8m-Telescopic-Aluminium-Ladder-Alloy-Extension-Extendable-Steps-/181079852295~OVWyp8s

We goes ours from https://www.txp.com.au ..... best investment especially with a motorhome - also gets us on the roof at home. Not cheap but sturdy and reliable.

Love ours, had it for about four years, no problems with it, cost about $110 through Deals Direct. There are two weight sizes - 100kg and 150kg I think. Bunnings had them at one stage - so look around or go online.

Yeah very happy with mine, no undue flex or problems, and brilliant to store compared to the conventional items.

Just bought one online. A bit bulky (11.6 kg) but very sturdy.
3.8 m high fully extended which is what I needed. Seems great so far.
It has been excellent, convenient, not too heavy, carry on the back bumper of the van.
Cheers - John

I too have one just like the one in Rockies pic, I think he must have copied me . Mine lives in the back of the Collie but still is to see the light of day as I have steps as well that have done everything I have wanted so far. Both were purchased from Evilbay.

I'll forgive you !!! Dougwe. I have a good quality fold up ladder which is now in need of repairs to the lock releases. I don't think you would find a quality build like this one, but have I the time to do this, and of course its bulkier. Folds to make various "A" frames or straight ladder. For about the same price I can buy one of these.

Hello iana I have one, the same as rockylizad picture. You have to keep it out of the dirt, otherwise it will jam up. I have had mine for nearly a year, with no problems.
Edit to say
My ladder is the multipurpose and not the straight one, and that my weight is 90 KG

Many would-be TV presenters trying to spruke their products or themselves as movie makers (mostly total air heads). Total crap on Youtube etc. No one doing a proper review. They must all think we are idiots. No proper reviews to compare these ladders. No way to know which is well made and which is crap and dangerous. Its an engineering review that is needed for safety devices such as these not incompetent peoples opinions. Note: I have since carried out more investigation and it seems the only product that is half way decent (not a total piece of crap) is the Xtend & Climb series. But they are not cheap and hard to buy here in Oz.

It looks like the Forum default is now, latest post first. Some people must be going way back to the dungeon looking at posts and not realising they are OLD then comment.
Been doing this since before Xmas.

Doug, after more than 16,000 "valuable" (?) posts, you surely are aware how simple it is to get "last post first"? And I am almost computer- illiterate . Cheers

My good mate Rocky has ridden on ahead and is no longer on this planet and would find it rather difficult to answer your request.

Hi Iana
The extendable ladder does serve a purpose for reaching high places like solar panels or to get on the roof as long as the top of ladder has something solid to lean up against.
Myself as working in the building trade as a painter that ladder was never going in my van or truck .I carry a Costco fold out ladder from Bunnings and weighs only two kg and very easy to store and is great for cleaning around the van putting on deflappers or putting gear on the roof of car but being only 5 foot I would not recommend for cleaning or accessing van roof unless experienced at working at heights .
Cheers

One should play it safe & wear a fluro vest when you're up the ladder or cleaning solar panels etc!
I'm with the like em brigade....but you must be careful with where you place the digits or it may remind one of an effective guillotine.... So I was told by a guy with a bandaged hand.....

From that picture, if he fell off the top of the van he would hit the ground right about the time he reached the end of the lanyard.
