Has anyone used one of these ? has had good reviews and considering buying one as very small and compact just add water for your coffee fix !

Not sure about the coffee machine you are asking about, but I have a Bellman espresso machine. You can use it on gas, electric or over an open fire. You make the coffee then you can steam the milk. WE have fresh cappuccino every day
Both these machines will only make a "shot" and it will be just above blood temperature....you have to add ho****er/milk to fill a cup but the coffee they make is almost as good as a conventional coffee machine. The hot water is forced thru the coffee and the liquid that comes out carries the flavour of the beans without tasting 'stewed'. I did use an "Aeropress" for a few years but to be honest they are just the same as a "French Press" or plunger for making coffee - they basically stew the coffee beans then filter the result.....a bit like airline coffee a few years ago. I currently use a $149 Breville coffee machine which produces a stronger flavour than Handpresso/Minipresso and is also a lot hotter plus it steams the milk. Bottom line is that I reckon they'd be a good substitute for a full sized coffee machine.
Good Luck.

Have a read through this thread on Coffee Snobs, mixed experiences doesn't appeal to me.

Don't tell my wife, she's addicted to those.

Final product comes out a bit on the cold side for me. I prefer the AeroPress. 95 degree water and 68 degree milk. Water is only in contact with the grounds for under 30 seconds so very little tannin. Low tech and hard to beat. Wife does have a bit of an effort to press the AeroPress. I do like the idea of the high pressure available in the Minipresso. One downside of the AeroPress is that the the low pressure leaves a lot of the fat behind.

Here is our LaPavoni Lever Espresso machine and Iberital Grinder installed in our Venture Fifth Wheeler . Good coffee where ever and when ever !
Hope the pic. attaches correctly...................
Received our minispresso today works well coffee tastes fine just load pod and pump convenient and great for those who have a tent and don't have the room would recommend it . at $85 will soon pay itself off lol !!
For those coffee purists who are not worried about the extra weight and have somewhere to store their machines.. plus plenty of power to spare .. just bring the one from home .. if ever we upgrade one day might consider this also .

Son in law has a "Handpresso" which uses the same basic principle but is shaped like an ice-cream scoop.
