We are after both A Sink and Shower strainer to stop the bits and pieces going down into our pipe work and holding tank before we start to use the new van.
Im trying to think ahead of time, prevention is better then the after mouth. Some would be better then non. Has any one acquired small strainers, and from where.
As yet, I have not been to a van accessory / parts outlet.
I was hoping the Sydney Caravan show (April) might have something to offer.
Your idear's and throughs on the matter would help us and everone else here.

A Jayco dealership shop told me they don't make them. He said he'd love a dollar though for everyone who has asked, me included.

Hi Chris,
That would sound about right.
I may end up buying a $7 S/S seave from K mart and fashion my own.
Come on CHINA there's money to be made in good old Australia yet.

You can fashion a very fine strainer out of half a teaball. I find the American style crumb catchers let quite large bits of stuff down the hole.

Hi all,
Just found this on Flea Bay. Fine Mesh S/S 90mm x 50mm $3.95 + $2.00 postage T/C 5.95 from SA. I will roll it into a cone shape and place down sink hole with ring attached to recover with O ring tool and rinse out. Ready to reuse.

I use a cheap domestic strainer for the sink purchased from a reject type shop. No solution for the shower yet but the American selection looks good.
I followed up the Camco ones that were shown on here by another member from a supplier in Ohio who we have bought a number of items from and these are the sizes of them -: Small: 2-3/16" diameter Medium: 2-3/4" Large: 4-3/8".
Have not measured our sink or shower outlet but pretty sure they are quite a bit smaller than these sizes. Still searching.
